Seasonal Tips and Ideas for the Gardener at Heart

December brings the darkest and shortest days of the year. It is also a season for many cultures to celebrate with a common thread of bringing nature indoors. Join the Napa County Master Gardeners for a talk on living holiday trees, forced bulbs, and gift ideas for gardeners in your life.

An Homage to Classic Poets

Each month readers will recite their favorite poems from selected published poets. They can also write a poem to that poet or a poem of their choice. Poetry books will be available for check-out in the library.

Welcome winter with a Snowy Owl! Our December craft kit provides everything you need to create your own pompom owl. Available while supplies last. (Ages 11+)

Putz House Centerpiece

We're hosting a traditional Dutch holiday craft building putz houses. Create your own village of sparkly and shimmering glitter houses while we nibble on holiday cookies at our first annual event. Space is limited to 10 registrants. To register, please call 707-944-1888.

Hotspots! Get Your Hotspots!

Get connected with Wi-Fi hotspots from the library! We have two different WiFi hotspots available: 

• Standard Hotspots: Checkout period is 3 weeks (21 days) + two renewals.

• 6-Month Hotspots: Checkout period is 6 months (180 days)

Coming soon, we’ll be expanding our connectivity options to include Chromebooks for checkout. Stay tuned for more information in 2023! 

Partial funding for these hotspots was provided by a grant from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) called the Emergency Connectivity Fund. Over $7.1 billion dollars was provided to schools and libraries to support remote learning in the United States and is intended to fill the need for individuals and families who lack adequate access to the internet and devices during the pandemic and beyond.
