Where our Peeps at?! It’s time for the annual all-ages Peeps Diorama Contest at the Napa Library! Show us how creative you can get using marshmallow chicks and bunnies to depict your favorite literary scenes. Ask the reference desk for rules or check the library's Facebook page starting on Friday, March 24th. First 15 peeple to ask for a set of rules at the reference desk will also receive a set of Peeps! Have fun, be creative, and start putting those Peeps to work! 
 
 Submissions will be on display for public viewing and voting from Saturday, April 15th through Sunday, April 23rd. Winners will be contacted by Wednesday, April 26th.

A materials kit will need to be picked up from the library branch of your choice before the class. Colored pencils are not included in the kit.

Genre Club: Mystery

Join a group of like-minded readers as we explore the ups, downs, and all-arounds of a variety of genres. Unlike traditional book clubs, you will not be assigned a specific book to read each month. Instead, YOU choose what you want to read within the month’s genre. After 30 minutes of book talking, sharing our opinions, and getting suggestions from fellow readers, we will have an additional 30 minutes of a themed craft or activity. This month’s genre is Fantasy.

Join us for a conversation with author Pablo Cartaya live onstage to discuss his book The Epic Fail of Arturo Zamora and his career as a writer. His award-winning book is the vibrant story of a family, a striking portrait of a town, and one boy’s quest to save both.

 

The author’s reception at 5:30 p.m. in the lobby will include a book signing with the author and student art displays connected to the book.
