The City of Napa is seeking applications from interested residents to volunteer for appointment as the City of Napa’s representative on the Napa County Library Commission. Applications close Friday, September 29, 2023.

Applications are open for students interested in serving as student representative to the Napa County Library Commission beginning at the start of the 2024 spring semester with the option to extend for an additional year. Community Events for Library Lovers

Yountville Bookmark Story Contest

Monday, September 25 through Monday, November 6, 2023

Ever written a poem or story that would fit on a bookmark? Interested in doing so? The Bookmark Coalition is looking for the five best stories that will be printed on library bookmarks and distributed to the public. Each winner will also receive a $100 prize.

Writers must be Napa County residents and can submit two unpublished stories, either in prose or poetry format, with a limit of 60 words per story. Each submission must have a title and may not include any profanity or disparaging remarks. The pieces will undergo blind review and the best five submissions will be chosen.

The Bookmark Coalition is a collaboration between the Yountville Library, Friends of the Yountville Library, and the Yountville Arts Commission.

Library Cardholder Perk: Napa County Library cardholders can use the code NCLIBRARY to enter their submission for free. You will be asked to enter your card number.
