Pirates Don't Go to Kindergarten!, by Lisa Robinson
"Little Pirate Emma is about to start her first day of kindergarten, but when she arrives, the classroom is filled with astronauts. Pirate Emma starts a mutiny, because 'pirates don’t go to kindergarten.' This is a fun story about a child using her imagination to overcome a scary situation for kids: the first day jitters."
"A friendly crocodile has an existential crisis after swallowing a watermelon seed. His imagination runs wild with humorous thoughts of changing colors or growing vines out of its ears. One little seed can’t possibly hurt that much can it? The Watermelon Seed is a raucous good time and is beautiful in its simplicity."
"A young boy named Duncan opens his crayon box to find that his crayons have quit. This hilarious and witty tale teaches children the valuable lesson of not conforming to what others expect and embracing your artistic spirit. The illustrations are incredible, and the unique use of the epistolary format helps give this story even more depth."
