It's the season for book lists! Everyone from the New York Times to BookTok influencers are sharing their best books of 2024, and do you know what? We're readers here at Napa County Library (not a surprise!), and we're sharing our favorites, too.

Each December The Millions, an online publication featuring book reviews, essays, and more, publishes a popular series of essays from authors describing their year in reading. It's a great way to fatten your TBR and get to know writers working today! Among the bestsellers published this year, you'll find books you won't see on any other lists--some published in 2024 but many gems from past years, too.
