Black History Month Student Contest

Napa County students in grades 3-12 are invited to participate in a contest celebrating Black history and culture as part of Black History Month 2026.

This year’s theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations” encourages a reflection on the history of celebrating Black history and culture, as well as continuing to “Promote, Protect, and Preserve" it. The contest encourages students to build their skills in writing and public speaking.
The Student Oratorical Contest, sponsored by the Napa County Office of Education Community of Belonging, is open to all eligible students. Entries will be judged by a panel, and winners will receive prizes.

The deadline to submit entries is January 30, 2026. For details and to register visit bit.ly/NCOEcontest2026 or contact Mollie Drossos at mdrossos@napacoe.org.
