Summer Library Adventure Storytimes
Starting Tuesday, June 21st through Friday, July 22nd. All Locations
Storytime is back! We'll share stories, sing songs, learn fingerplays, and laugh along with puppets. And we'll always have fun! Times and dates vary by location.

What's Hot in Compost?

Do you have questions about compost or composting? Join the Napa County Master Gardeners to get your answers for successful composting: What to add or not, when to harvest, and what about those worms? We will present how to harvest worms and backyard compost, plus cover how "hot" composting works and why to do it.
Beehive Cross-Stitch Craft Kit
Available starting Friday, July 8 All Locations
Participate in the Summer Library Adventure and go off the bee-ten path with our July craft kit. Our beehive cross-stitch kit will be available for pickup beginning July 8 at all Napa County Library locations, while supplies last! (Ages 11+)
Saturday Crafternoons: Flower Pot Painting

Come paint your masterpiece at this month’s crafternoon where we will be painting vibrant flower pots!

Kids are invited to explore the fantastic lives of beetles, millipedes, tarantulas, walking sticks, whip scorpions, and more! Learn about scientific observation, insect identification, and the natural history of bugs. (Ages 5+)
Understanding Your Medicare
Friday, July 15 at 1 p.m. American Canyon Library
Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP) will help you understand your Medicare and cover the following: when portions of your Part A or B claim is denied, cost saving considerations, your rights to purchase a Medigap Supplemental Plan, followed by a question and answer period.

Outdoor Skills with the Scouts
Friday, July 22 at 2 p.m. American Canyon Library
Join Scout Troop 7062 for fun with outdoor skills at an open-house style event! Learn how to tie knots and lashings, identify native plants and animals, and pack a great day pack for hikes! Train your first aid skills, check out a tent, and practice how to leave no trace!
Art in the Library: The fine art of quilting in Napa
Unless you are standing near them the impressive wall hangings at the Napa Valley Library could be mistaken for paintings, but the beautiful art created by the Napa Valley Quilters Guild was not done with acrylic or oil paint.
